J.U.M.P. (Just Understand My Potential) is a 501 (c)(3) youth development nonprofit that builds resilient leaders and responsible community members through adventure based, experiential learning in an outdoor setting. Youth are encouraged to challenge themselves in new experiences facilitated by caring adult mentors.
Youth need to experience the benefits of the outdoors and gain exposure to self-paced educational programming that is interactive in nature, sparks their curiosity, and helps them envision what is possible for their own future. A committee lead is needed to move the process forward so that content can be integrated with the public school curriculum with the goal of youth being able to get credit for curriculum mastery. This would be a public / private partnership.
