Camp Wellville

For over 60 years Camp Wellville has provided a place for friends and families to escape to a simpler life and foster the growth of the spirit, mind and body. The camp was given to Rollstone Church in Fitchburg by the Whittemore family in 1956. Since that time the camp has steadily been developed through the efforts of members and friends of the parish. 13 cabins and 21 tent sites are scattered along dirt roads that wind through the woods on 43 acres of private lakefront property. The facilities also include a playground, craft shed, hillside chapel, camp store, and ballfield.
An active summer program will keep campers of all ages busy. Nature hikes, fishing, swimming, boating and picnics are all part of a daily occurrence for many campers. Campfires are held most nights with special events for kids once a week. Swim lessons, and organized craft activities occur most weekday mornings.
