William J. Bresnahan Community Center

Who We Are

The William J. Bresnahan Scouting Community Center Incorporated, has been fundraising through raffles, memorial bricks, spaghetti suppers, yard sales, hamburgers and hot dog concessions, to raise monies for a home for our Scouting and Community activities. We have received donations from generous groups and private individuals, and many companies, clubs and individuals have offered to contribute their time, services or materials to our cause. Our local Montachusett Technical Vocational School supplied the labor as a teaching tool for practical arts students; our funds are for the material for them to work with. We feel the scouting way of life is worth our efforts, and all of our donations are used for the project, all of our time and effort are volunteered. We have raised over $120,000 dollars to date and the building is now 2/3 completed and we are asking your help to donate your talents to help complete this construction.

What We Do

We have bonded together for the purpose of preserving the scouting way of training our young Americans, We believe training our kids to be respectful and responsible has molded many a child to be a successful adult. Our mission became to construct a Community Center for the use of scouting and local community activities. Hence we have adopted the phrase "Preserving the Past and Nurturing the Future" The William J. Bresnahan Scouting and Community Center Committee was formed in 2003 by a few Ashburnham volunteers looking to help the scouts and community obtain a place to hold meetings and gatherings. This base committee of twelve men and women decided to construct the Bresnahan Center in memory of William J. Bresnahan; an Eagle Scout and Firefighter that gave his life as Marine, in Vietnam, defending our freedom.
