Beacon Of Hope Community Services

Beacon of Hope provides a respite program for people with developmental disabilities on Wednesday and Friday evenings out of St. Mark's Church. Participants receive a nutritious meal followed by various social activities. The program gives caregivers a little break during the week and provides a social outlet to participants. Beacon of Hope also offers a life skills program that provides training in independent living skills such as cooking, money management, community access, etc.
Beacon of Hope Community Services is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life of individuals with developmental disabilities by providing respite, recreational, advocacy and supportive services. Our organization believes in the dignity and value of each individual. Beacon of Hope is a grassroots organization that has been providing supports to people with developmental disabilities and their families for 28 years. The organization was formed by caregivers who shared a common optimism that their loved ones could continue to live at home in a family setting and receive needed services and supports.
