Literacy Volunteers of Orange/Athol, Inc.

The mission of Literacy Volunteers of Orange/Athol (LVOA) is to promote literacy skills that empower adults to realize their educational, vocational, and personal goals.

LVOA is an affiliate of Literacy Volunteers of Massachusetts, the state's leading provider of volunteer tutoring services to adults, serving more than 1,000 adults each year.

Since 1975, LVOA has provided free confidential and individualized tutoring in basic literacy and English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) to adults in North Quabbin communities through the use of professionally trained and supported volunteer tutors.

LVOA is supported by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, the United Way of North Central Massachusetts, grants and the generosity of area businesses and individuals.
