Outdoor Project: Upgrading the raised bed gardens at the Sundial Senior Apartments in Fitchburg. This involves: 1) Removing deteriorated beds; 2) building new beds; 3) Relocating and refurbishing the existing compost bin. There also may be some general garden maintenance involved.
Indoor Alternate: Upkeep activities in Growing Places’ food warehouse in Leominster. The warehouse is where local food is aggregated and packaged for delivery to the community via Growing Places’ Mobile Market and home delivery services. Tasks include: 1) General upkeep; 2) Produce sorting; 3) Pre-prep of produce if needed.
