Every 65 seconds, someone in the United States develops Alzheimer’s. Help the Alzheimer’s Association educate members of your community about the disease by becoming a Family Support Volunteer!

The Alzheimer’s Association, Massachusetts/New Hampshire Chapter is training volunteers throughout both states to provide education and support to families facing Alzheimer’s disease. These Family Support Volunteers will present educational programs, organize social engagement events, and provide support services for people living with dementia and their caregivers.

The anticipated time commitment for this volunteer role is 16 hours per month. Scheduling is flexible. Extensive training and ongoing support is provided to Family Support Volunteers.

The ideal volunteer candidate will have personal or professional experience with dementia, strong communication and listening skills and the ability to be empathetic.
