The Weekend Backpack Program will include the packaged meals in their backpacks for school children facing hunger in the Gardner and Athol communities.
A program of Henry Heywood Hospital in partnership with the Gardner and Athol-Orange Rotary Clubs.
80 volunteers are needed to package 22,222 nutritionally fortified meals that will be distributed to as many as 20 local food pantries.

This time frame includes the event setup time, the Volunteer Welcome, two hours of meal packaging and the event cleanup. Please review the individual volunteer descriptions to find the arrival times for each position. The Setup Crew arrives prior to the other volunteers.
