First Congregational Church of Gardner

We support our local community by offering a free hot meal weekly during the school year, and a lunch weekly during the summer vacation. Each year, we coordinate and contribute to collecting backpacks and school supplies for over 200 greater Gardner area students in need for distribution prior to the start of each school year. We support the local CAC/food bank. We provide meeting space for Al-anon and other community service organizations. We offer support in times of community crisis. For example, when a local student died in a school accident, we opened during the evening to offer spiritual support to anyone in the community who wanted to come, and then collected a couple of hundred new teddy bears for distribution to children needing help with coping with their grief in the days after the accident. We have many other annual events to which the community is welcomed. We support many local missions including HOPE house, Forward in Healt
As the First Congregational Church of Gardner, our mission together through Jesus Christ is to nurture, inspire and support ourselves and each other in our daily lives through worship, fellowship, education and service so that we may reflect God's love and grace in our homes, community and the world.
