Twin Cities CDC

The Twin Cities CDC is a community-based non-profit organization whose mission is to improve the quality of life of persons with low and moderate incomes in Fitchburg and Leominster through housing development. The work of the CDC is about improving and stabilizing neighborhoods, promoting business development and building the economic, physical and individual assets of local communities and their residents. The community assets range from a house or a business to a new leader or community working together to affect a change. The Twin Cities CDC?s holistic approach to stabilizing neighborhoods includes promoting: ? neighborhood leadership and civic engagement ? affordable housing development ? homeownership and ? small business development

The Twin Cities Community Development Corporation (CDC) is a membership organization led by the diverse resident and business communities of Fitchburg and Leominster. We invest in and organize the residents of these cities to help build assets such as quality housing, good jobs, strong businesses and effective leaders. We envision healthy neighborhoods where residents choose to live, work, and invest, thereby forming a powerful, unified community. The Twin Cities Community Development Corporation (CDC) was founded in 1979 as the Cleghorn Neighborhood Development Corporation (CNDC). CNDC expanded its territory in 1985 to encompass all of Fitchburg and again in 1995 to include its "twin city" of Leominster. Since inception, the CDC has focused on economic development strategies, adding affordable housing and in recent years, community organizing, to more effectively harness the energy and voice of the community.
