Opportunities From: United Way of North Central Massachusetts Volunteer Center

Volunteer: Bill Payer Volunteers Wanted

For some, managing money and staying on top of paperwork, becomes increasingly difficult with age.  Bill payer volunteers assist elders and adults with disabilities in their home by sorting mail, organizing bills and writing checks. Volunteers provide basic budgeting and checkbook reconciliation services, while elders remain in control of their finances and retain check signing capacity. Volunteers offer critical support to those in need and can enable a vulnerable adult to stay living independently in the community.  Bill payers receive on-going training and support.

Volunteers are trained, insured and supervised by the Money Management Program Office.
