Opportunities From: United Way of North Central Massachusetts Volunteer Center

If retail interests you, the HFHNCM ReStore could be the answer. We are seeking volunteers for regular weekly shifts at our store in Leominster. Morning and afternoon shifts are available, Tuesday to Saturday in a variety of positions - customer service, sales assistant, office assistant, warehouse clerk, driver's helper and special projects assistant. This is a great way to support the mission of Habitat for Humanity and have fun, too, all without swinging a hammer!

Do you like the idea of volunteering with Habitat for Humanity but don't know a hammer from a nail? Spend some time in the kitchen making lunch and snacks for our corporate group construction volunteers. You'll be the most popular person on site! Join with friends, family, faith or civic group and prepare a simple lunch! This is a great way to support Habitat without having to use power tools and is truly appreciated.

Locations vary as listed below. Additional opportunities include providing snacks at local Habitat NCM events, such as home dedications and open houses.

Do you want to help a family build their home? Working alongside one of our partner families and other volunteers, you can help build a simple, decent home and make the dream of home ownership a reality for a low-income family.

Locations vary and include Critical Home Repairs in our region.   Build days are Wednesday through Saturday, 8:30am to 4:00pm. Construction experience is helpful but not necessary, as all tools and training will be provided by our construction manager and Crew Leaders. We are currently rehabbing a vintage duplex in Acton.

Ashburnham build begins in April 2019 !

 

Critical Repairs include replacing roofs and windows, widening doors and adding ramps for wheelchair access, repairing siding, etc in partnership with homeowners in need.

We need regular help in our office located at 201 Great Road, Suite #301, Acton. Office hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday and you can set your own schedule. Register online here, and select from the list of available office shifts. Once you click "Register" you'll be asked to sign-up as a volunteer then click once more to confirm your shift.
